Every Campus a Refuge
Posted by Haverford College on October 30, 2017
Also on November 2, the Center for Peace and Global Citizenship is supporting a 12 – 2 lunch presentation and conversation with Diya Abdo, founding director of Every Campus a Refuge and Associate Professor of English at Guilford College. Inspired by Pope Francis’ call on every European parish to host one refugee family, Guilford College’s Every Campus a Refuge (ECAR) initiative advocates for mobilizing campus resources to temporarily house refugees on campus grounds and assist them in resettlement in the local area. ECAR was profiled on NPR here.
To attend, RSVP with Stephanie Keene, sdkeene@haverford.edu.
