Events & Partnership Development (Coordinator), Nat’l Diversity Council

This position is responsible for the administration and coordination of the following major categories of internal operations and organizational activities for the Pennsylvania Diversity Council, Healthcare Diversity Council, and other Council markets and projects as assigned. The position reports directly to the supervisors who oversee the regions and projects.
Activities & Events
- Coordination of Board-approved events (i.e., small workshops, medium-size Symposiums, large-scale Conferences, etc.)
- Manage events through utilizing event timeline documents to ensure timely completion of all planning requirements
- Coordinate event chairs and community volunteers who assume leadership roles in the development of events
- Submit event updates for webpages and Salesforce
- Submit event information to graphic designers for flyers and email blasts
- Incorporate event updates into quarterly newsletter distribution
- Formulate and share important communications to event panelists, moderators, volunteers, sponsors, chairs, and attendees in a timely and professional manner
- Promote events through social media outlets (i.e., Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.) and secure media attendance where possible
- Solidify event sponsors to raise money for events
- Manage budget for events
- Work with event chair(s) to determine and lock in key speakers for different events
- Order awards for recipients
- Help develop new events and programs that cater to specific local chapter needs for recommendation to the Board of Directors
