ESOL SUMMER CAMP 2012
For middle & high school students
Nationalities Service Center (NSC) will be offering a Summer Camp for middle and high school students who speak English as a Second (or Additional) Language. Summer camp will involve course time for the youth, trips around the city, and class time for parents and their children to interact in English and to learn subject matter in science, history, social studies, and math while improving their English language skills.
What’s Included :
– Opportunities to increase vocabulary & improve written and verbal communication skills
– Opportunities to use academic English during summer vacation
– Hands on activities and field trip experiences around the Philadelphia area
– Family literacy workshops which will allow parents and children to work together on language themes.
Program Schedule
Classes will meet Monday-Friday (8:30 12:30)
July 2nd Placement Test
July 3rd Welcoming Event
July 4th No Camp
July 9th- August 3rd: Summer Camp
