NSC seeks ESL volunteers
Nationalities Service Center is looking for volunteers to teach English as a Second Language to newly arrived refugees.
Classes are on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1-3pm. No experience is required.
Teachers will be trained on-site in best practices for teaching ESL and working with refugees. Classes are scheduled to begin on September 6th and run until December 15th. For those with time and passion, this opportunity offers people with or without teaching experience the chance to be part of newly-arrived refugees’ first experiences in the US, and to help shape them.
For more information, call Ellen Polsky at 215-609-1525.
