Applications are now open for Equal Measure’s Expanding Access Evaluation Internship which will begin in July 2023. This program intends to engage racially and culturally diverse current and recent graduate students to explore the field of evaluation through engagement in an evaluation consulting project. Evaluation interns will have the opportunity to build and strengthen evaluation skills while working side-by-side with a team of experienced Equal Measure evaluators on a specific consulting project:
- Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation – Portfolio Evaluation
- State of Florida and Arizona – Postsecondary Completion Learning and Evaluation Engagements
- Robin Hood Mobility L.A.B.s – Portfolio Evaluation
This is a paid internship with Equal Measure which will engage a small cohort of interns for approximately six months. If applicable, Equal Measure will enable interns who are current students to leverage their engagement as a means to fulfill a fieldwork or practical learning experience for a course or program of study.
- Six (6) months paid internship (July – December 2023 with date flexibility)
- 10-15 hours per week
- $20-25/hour based on experience
- Remote/WFH position with option to work from Equal Measure’s Philadelphia office
KEY ACTIVITIES
Interns will have the opportunity to participate in a wide range of evaluation and learning activities. Activities may include:
- Assist with interviewing
- Code and analyze interview data
- Conduct literature reviews/field scans
- Assist with project administration
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative analyses
- Draft analytic memos
- Clean quantitative data
- Attend team meetings
- Attend project-related webinars hosted by other organizations
- Attend staff-wide meetings and learning sessions
- Receive coaching and mentoring
Eligible candidates are current or recent graduate students. Preference will be given to candidates who have studied public health, education, political science, anthropology, psychology, sociology, social work, and the natural sciences. Applicants must live in the United States. Employer visa sponsorship is unavailable for this role.
