Environmental Change: Nature’s Sure Thing
A five-day professional development opportunity for science teachers.
June 26-28, 2006 & July 26-27, 2006
NH Fish & Game, Concord NH (Days 1, 2, 4, 5) and Bear Brook State Park, Allenstown, NH (Day 3)
Participants will develop a unit that synthesizes content learned and answers the question “How do natural forces and human influences impact change in the environment?”
Topics addressed include: Levels of Organization in the Natural World, Natural Change Over Time, New Hampshire’s Changing Landscape, Water: Change Over Time, Forests: Change Over Time, Wildlife: Change Over Time, Natural Resource Management, Management as Controlled Change, Energy Connections: Preparing for NH’s Future, and Participant Projects.
