Funding Available to Help New Jersey Educators Make Science Come Alive
Deadline: June 16, 2006
Public Service Electric and Gas Company’s (<a href="http://pseg.com/">http://pseg.com/</a>) annual Environmental Education Grant Program is open to educators of grades K-5 and 6-9 who teach in the utility’s service area. Grants are available in amounts of up to $3,500, and may be used to purchase materials and equipment, pay for field trips, and develop curriculum-related activities. Grants provide funding to carry out the project for up to two years.
Those who can successfully link their students’ understanding of math, science, computer science, and/or technology concepts with an enthusiasm and appreciation for the environment are encouraged to apply. Applications that focus on the development of one or more classroom units, the expansion of an existing course or curriculum, or the extension of classroom work to community or after-school activities will be considered.
Visit the PSE&G Web site for grant program information and application instructions.
