Entrepreurship Week in Philadelphia
Posted by on March 3, 2006
The Empowerment Group (http://empowerment-group.org), located in the Kensington neighborhood of North Philadelphia, is committed to accelerating economic growth in distressed urban communities by cultivating local entrepreneurship through youth and adult business training, as well as providing the community with a bilingual business resource center.
We have been working hard since last summer to create the Philadelphia Entrepreneurship Week (http://entrepreneurshipweek.com), a public awareness campaign taking place from April 17-April 22. This is the first of its kind in Philadelphia and it will include workshops, networking events, a press conference, and a party at the World Caf? Live.
So how can you get involved? If you’re a self-starter and entrepreneur, or are looking to start a business or meet cool peers in the field, consider attending some of the events described in this email. If you have zero interest in entrepreneurship but have a fondness for me:) then consider donating! And if you’re broke but want to get involved with a great cause, let me know if you’re interested in volunteering time for the week.
