Entering the Electoral Arena in 2004
Tuesday, February 24, 6:00-9:00pm
Project Home, 1515 Fairmount Ave.
Co-sponsored by Project Home
Wondering if the 2004 election cycle can advance your organization?s issues? Come discuss the variety of opportunities an election year presents to social justice groups. Hear about local organizations? successes and failures to insert issues into election discussions. Learn what non-profits can and can’t do in an election year, how to get endorsements for your group?s issues, work towards election of candidates you like, develop a questionnaire to solicit candidates? opinions, and develop briefing books to inform candidates about what you need them to know. Talk about when to hold forums to bring candidates together, and how to get pre-election commitments.
Facilitator: Bob Wendelgass, State Director, Clean Water Action Fund, PA
