On Friday, May 7, 2004, the United Way of Southeastern Pennsylvania Community Impact Training Institute and The Delaware Valley Association for Directors of Volunteer Programs (DVA/DVP) will be co-sponsoring a Workshop for Volunteer Program Managers, to be held at the offices of the United Way of Southeastern Pennsylvania, Seven Benjamin Franklin Parkway, Philadelphia, PA from 9:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.

The Workshop, Engaging Retirees in Your Organization, will explore the coming tide of Baby Boomer retirements. How can your organization balance the needs and desires of senior volunteers as well as promote lifelong learning and leadership development. The workshop will be led by Dr. Nancy Henkin, Center for Intergenerational Learning, Temple University.

Volunteer Program Managers from across the Delaware Valley will receive hands-on tools for training and supervising older volunteers, plus have an opportunity to network with other professionals in the field.
