Engaging Philadelphia through Scholarship and Teaching
February 7, 2020 | 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM | Conversation Hall, Rm 201 @ City Hall
Are you a community partner organization or faculty member interested in community-engaged research and teaching? Join us February 7 from 1-3pm at City Hall for an opportunity to build professional knowledge and networking on community engaged scholarship and teaching. A panel presentation by Dr. Giovanna Di Chiro, Professor of Environmental Studies at Swarthmore College, .O, Serenity Soular, Dr. Keith Brown, Associate Professor of Sociology, Saint Joseph’s University, Dr. Miriam Kahn, Weaver’s Way Cooperative, will describe their collaborations, highlight key guiding practices and speak of challenges and opportunities in the field. Panel presentation will be followed by small group discussion. Lunch will be provided.
