Engaged Black Men – Community Conversations Initiative – Apr 30
Posted by Collage of Talent on April 30, 2019
Please join us for the next gathering of the Engaged Black Men (of Philadelphia) “Community Conversations Initiative.” Forged by a partnership between Collage of Talent LLC, Ujima Friends Peace Center, Dobbins Technical High School, and the Frator Heru Institute – the Community Conversations Initiative is a platform to engage Philadelphians in our city who are interested in transforming the narrative for Black men & boys. The initiative is a monthly forum where community members discuss challenges, opportunities, and solutions that address dismantling inequities that impact the lives of Black men & boys in the city. April’s discussion will revolve around what is happening with our boys in the city. The discussion will include “Mentoring opportunities” and the likelihood of guiding youth to participate in a rites of passage experience.
Words will be shared by:
Panelist – Greg Corbin, Director of Social Justice Leadership Institute, Founder of The Living Room Experience along with other community leaders.
