Engage 2015 Pre-Conference Sessions: Passionate Conversations

June 18, 2015 (multiple times & locations—see below)

As youth development practitioners, we spend our days engaging young people, looking for ways to ignite their passions and help them grow. But to do this well, we must start with ourselves–what keeps us engaged and passionate? How do we inspire and rejuvenate ourselves to avoid burning out or giving up? And how do we support each other to persist and stay resilient? As we navigate a changing landscape, with reduced resources and many challenges, staying connected to our own sources of passion and inspiration becomes even more critical.

We want to hear your stories about keeping work passion alive and what you do to rejuvenate when you’re feeling burned out. Stories are how we learn and we know we can learn a lot by sharing our experiences. This is also an opportunity for you to connect with other youth development practitioners in the City and to explore this important professional/personal development question together. We’ll be sharing what is learned through these conversations at Philadelphia Youth Network’s Engage 2015 conference on June 19 where we can continue to explore this topic (and others) and learn from new stories.
