Encourage STEM Learning, Achieving STEM Success: An Interactive Education Workshop for Parents
All parents of school-aged children are invited to attend a two-hour academic and career coaching workshop, “Encourage STEM Learning, Achieving STEM Success: An Interactive Education Workshop for Parents” on Saturday, June 1st from 10:00a.m. to 12:00p.m. at the J. Lewis Crozer Library in Chester. Topics covered will include focus areas for educational success; how to create an educational plan; how to have the “ambitions” conversation with your child; and available support for your child’s educational plan. The workshop fee is $5 in advance or $10 without registration at the door. Advance registration is required by calling (610) 494-3454, extension 204, or emailing [email protected].
Adrienne Dolberry, Ph.D., will present. Dr. Dolberry is President and CEO of Reflectential Academic and Career Coaching Services, LLC. A Philadelphia native, she graduated from Germantown-Lankenau High School in 1995, earned her Ph.D. in Biology from Drexel University in 2006, and completed her postdoctoral training at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She has worked in the U.S., Commonwealth of Dominica, and Germany in such diverse roles as researcher, instructor, academic and career advisor, and learning specialist for students enrolled in allied health, basic-sciences, and medical programs.
