Responsibilities include coordinate and provide training, supervision,and support for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in competitive employment; assist with the development of individual plans for each participant; capable of performing other job related duties as assigned. Applicants must possess strong communication and writing skills, along with the ability to connect with employers in order to achieve successful job development, job placement, and training opportunities for adults with intellectual disabilities. The desired candidate must be reliable, responsible, compassionate, and nurturing; possess the ability to effectively communicate with individuals from diverse backgrounds, present themselves professionally and be able to maintain confidentiality. Basic computer knowledge necessary. This is a 20 hour/week part time position with the potential for full time.
Requirements: HS diploma plus 2 or more years working with persons with disabilities OR equivalent technical training, education, and/or experience. Bachelor’s degree in Sociology, Psychology, or Special Education preferred. Experienced in sales/marketing also preferred. MUST have a clear criminal background, own vehicle, current driver’s license and acceptable driving record to be considered. EOE.
