EMERGING LEADERS BOARD TRAINING PROGRAM!
On behalf of the Board of Organizers for Philadelphia?s Young Nonprofit Leaders (PYNL), we are pleased to announce the launch of our Emerging Leaders Board Training Program (ELBTP). The Emerging Leaders Board Training Program is part of an initiative to narrow the leadership gap that exists within the nonprofit sector by developing the skills of young professionals. The goal of ELBTP is to continue to develop emerging leaders by offering them the requisite training to effectively serve on nonprofit boards in the Greater Philadelphia region. ELBTP will provide these young professionals with a clear understanding of the functionalities of nonprofit boards, while strengthening skills that will, ultimately, help towards building the overall capacity of the sector. Overall, seeks to fulfill PYNL?s overall mission to empower the next generation of nonprofit leaders.
The Emerging Leaders Board Training Program will be structured as follows:
Program Length: 4 months
Number of sessions: 6
One, 4-hour ELBTP Orientation
Five, 3-hour biweekly seminars

● Nonprofit Management vs. Governance
● Nonprofit Board Models
● Nonprofit Board vs. Corporate Board Cultures

● Nonprofit Financial Management
● Strategic Planning
● Donor Cultivation
● Major Gift Requests
● Managing Executive Leadership Relationships
● Cultivating Board Members
Additional Commitments: Select nonprofit board meeting visitations
Program Fee: $100
