Effective Communications to Build Relationships, Engagement and Understanding
Posted by La Salle University on May 11, 2015
There’s a good reason why employers rate strong communications skills as the most fundamental skills their employees must have. Conversely, poor communications skills are among the primary reasons why projects and employees falter. Whether it’s interacting with a supervisor, supervisee, donor, regulator, or co-workers, the most successful people are the best communicators.
While most of us recognize the need to hone our special job-related skills, we often ignore or neglect the skill set that can truly make a difference in our success and the success of our organization – the ability to say what we mean, understand what others are trying to convey to us, and to ensure that our messages are received as intended.
No matter your role, you can benefit from enhanced communications skills.
