Effective Board Governance: How Boards Should Work

Being an effective member is more than good intentions and attending meetings.
Make this class the first step toward truly understanding the objective and expected roles and responsibilities of a board member. You will acquire the basic knowledge you must have about key elements of board responsibility, including the law’s performance expectations, financial management, the relationship with staff and board recruitment and retention.
You will be able to apply standardized tools for board assessment and governance and have samples of essential policies, all founded on best practices.
