Nov. 2: Educators Workshop: Philadelphia’s Free Black Community. 5 p.m.-7 p.m. The Historical Society of Pennsylvania, 1300 Locust St., hosts the first of a series of workshops for teachers exploring the history of the Pennsylvania Abolition Society and Philadelphia’s free black community during the antebellum period.
