Champions for Children
EducationWorks invites you to support the children!
EducationWorks is committed to enabling inner city youth break the cycle of poverty through education. Our commitment does not end with each school year; it continues in the summer. Each year, EducationWorks invites students to take part in fun and educational summer programs, in safe environments. Last year, 1,500 children enrolled in EducationWorks summer camps; this year we want to increase that number. Unfortunately, many families cannot afford the $150 camp fee.
Our program serves children from Kindergarten to Grade 8 and operates from 8:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. for seven weeks. In addition to swimming, trips, sports, and arts and crafts, there’s a major academic component that involves children in interesting and engaging projects, projects that not only keep students reading and writing all summer, but engage them in community service in their own neighborhoods. Every child should have the opportunity to spend a summer in camps like ours.
You can help: Join us on April 25, meet and hear from some of the youth who have participated in our summer camps, and make a tax-deductible donation of $150 to EducationWorks for each child you want to help have a summer camp experience!
One ticket sends one low-income child to summer camp.
