Job Description: The Mural Arts Program [MAP] is a community-based non-profit organization with an art education component. MAP’s Educational Outreach program is a community service alternative for youth, ages 12-18, who have committed a first time offense, through which youth participate in the creation of a public art project. The Educational Outreach Coordinator will manage multiple program budgets, grant obligations, program/project management, program evaluations, direct staff and instructor recruitment/hiring. This position entails a 32 hour work week. Ideal candidate will be flexible as periodic Saturday and late evening hours will be required.
Requirements: B.A. or B.S. required, master’s degree preferred; ideal candidate will have a strong background in art and education and will possess youth and community service experience; preference for social work and or prison/adjudication experience; administrative, organizational, and management skills are necessary; proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Publisher and Adobe Photoshop desired.
Please note: All MAP educators are required to have a Pennsylvania Child Abuse Report and Pennsylvania Criminal Background Check upon 30 days of hire.
