Lutheran Settlement House: Education & Youth Advocate
Lutheran Settlement House is seeking a Education and Youth Advocate for its Jane Addams Place Emergency Homeless Shelter.
The program utilizes the Sanctuary® model of trauma-informed care to serve 29 homeless women and their children.
Under the supervision of the Child Advocate, the Education and Youth Advocate coordinates and monitors childcare volunteers. Coordinates after school curriculum and records observations in order to ensure cognitive, physical, emotional, and social development of the teenagers that participate in evening programming, will assist the child advocate with communication between the school system and families with school-age children. The Education and Youth Advocate must complete Sanctuary training and participate in its implementation at Jane Addams Place.
