National Academy of Education Invites Applications From Education Researchers
The National Academy of Education is inviting applications for its NAEd/Spencer Postdoctoral Fellowship Program, established in 1986 in support of early-career scholars working in critical areas of education research.
The program will award fellowships of $70,000 to twenty-five scholars in support of proposals that make significant scholarly contributions to the field of education. The non-residential postdoctoral program will also provide professional development activities that involve National Academy of Education members. Fellows may elect to take the fellowship full-time over one year or half-time over two years and conduct their research at their home institution or at another research site they have arranged. With additional travel funds provided by the Academy, fellows must attend three professional development retreats hosted by the NAEd and make a formal presentation of their research.
The fellowship is intended to serve as a salary replacement for one year and cover other research expenses outlined in the proposal. Fellows must not receive other funding in support of their proposed research during the grant period.
To be eligible, applicants must have received their PhD, EdD, or equivalent research degree between January 1, 2015, and December 31, 2020.
For complete program guidelines and application instructions, see the National Academy of Education website.
Deadline: November 17, 2021
