HIAS Pennsylvania supports low-income immigrants of all backgrounds as they build new lives in our community. Through Immigrant legal services and various social services, we work to address their needs, defend their rights, and advocate for their equitable inclusion in American society.
Position Description:
The Education Program Manager will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of all English language and education-related program activities for newly arrived refugees and other HIAS PA Social Services clients. Programming includes out-of-school-time and summer programming for K-8 refugee youth; mentoring for high school and young adult immigrant and refugee youth preparing for next steps in education; and Adult English as a Second Language (ESL) classes. Additionally, the Education Program Manager will oversee school enrollment for newly arrived school-age refugee youth and lead collaborative work with fellow staff at community-based organizations and school district staff.
