Education Program Coordinator
Supervisor: Program Director
Compensation: Part Time Position (up to 24 hours/week)
Salary Range: $15-18/hour commensurate with experience
Career Wardrobe is a nonprofit social enterprise that uses clothing and professional development to empower unemployed individuals to work. The Wardrobe Boutique is the cornerstone of our program and provides professional clothing to individuals in transition. Job seekers can shop at The Wardrobe Boutique at no cost with a referral or for a small fee if they are not receiving assistance. We are also open to public where savvy shoppers can find great deals on women’s designer and contemporary clothing with all sales supporting our services.
The Education Program Coordinator is part of the program team and is responsible for managing and executing Career Wardrobe’s education activities conducted both on and off-site at partner programs throughout Philadelphia, Bucks and Delaware Counties.
Education Program Management
- Professional Development Training: Conduct and coordinate both on-site and off-site job readiness and job search workshops to motivate participants and help them develop the skills needed to secure employment: Gateway to Success Professional Development Curriculum, Blitz Basics Job Search Workshops, and Special Client Events.
- Curriculum Development: Analyze and improve customer service and workshop delivery by identifying areas that require improvement and working with program manager to implement enhancements. Work collaboratively with Program Director and volunteers to create new curriculum or update existing program materials as needed.
- Outreach Activities and Events: Assist with outreach activities for program support to partner and client audiences such as job fairs, community days, volunteer outreach events, clothing drives and group volunteer days.
- Outcomes and Data Management: Maintain database and files to track participation and prepare outcome reports monthly.
Qualifications:
- College degree with previous education and training experience required.
- Ability to pass a FBI Clearance, PA Criminal Background and PA Child Abuse Clearance
- Motivated and passionate about leading workshops to a diverse range of people including high school students, adult learners and the long term unemployed.
- Detail oriented with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Engaging and outgoing personality.
- Access to a car or ability to use public transportation to travel to workshop sites in Philadelphia, Bucks and Delaware Counties.
- Available to work a flexible schedule and up to 24 hours per week.
