Morris J. & Betty Kaplun Foundation invites applications for education, literacy grants
Guided by the Jewish values of respecting human dignity and responsibility towards others, the Morris J. & Betty Kaplun Foundation invites applications for its winter 2022-23 grant cycle.
Grants of up to $5,000 will be awarded to support programs that generate opportunities for advancement and access for their constituents through a focus on education and literacy. Ongoing general expenses, as well as new initiatives, will be awarded.
To be eligible, applicants must be a nonprofit organization with 501(c)(3) status or international equivalent, able to accept funds by IRS rules; generally, should have an annual budget of less than $3 million (the foundation may consider proposals from larger organizations for distinct projects or divisions with smaller budgets). Religious congregations (synagogues, churches, Hillels, etc.) should not apply unless for a project that is aligned with the winter 2022-23 mission and distinct from any religious activities or programming.
Organizations selected for final reviews should be available for an online “site visit” on a weekday late afternoon/evening during the week of November 28, 2022, or December 5, 2022.
For complete program guidelines and application instructions, see the Morris J. & Betty Kaplun Foundation website.
Deadline: November 11, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. PT
