Fleisher Art Memorial hosts educational forum
The Fleisher Art Memorial will host an educational forum with Louis Massiah, founder and executive director of Scribe Video Center, on Friday, October 23rd.
Scribe is a media arts organization that provides low-cost workshops and equipment access to emerging video/filmmakers and community organizations.
Massiah has facilitated and executive produced over 200 documentaries, documenting major issues and concerns facing urban communities.
A current project, the Precious Places Community History Project, is a citywide oral history portrait that is composed of short documentaries produced with neighborhood organizations in Philadelphia and throughout the region. He will speak about community history projects underway at Scribe and will show excerpts from recent video portraits.
