Education for PA Homeless Youth
People’s Emergency Center (PEC) examined the most recent national and state data from the Education for Homeless Children and Youth Program. PEC was interested in determining how homeless youth performed on standardized tests in the 2011-12 school year compared to the three years prior. This policy brief reports on those findings, as well as the number of children and youth experiencing homelessness and the primary nighttime residence of homeless students in Pennsylvania and in the US.
