Job Title: Education Coordinator – Grade 4
Location: Philadelphia
Hours Required: 40
Reports To: Education Director
Position Summary: The Education Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the education service requests, workshop assignments and managing education data, client correspondence and materials necessary for each education program (FinanciallyHers, Financial Smarts, Seniors, etc.). This position will assist the Education Director in managing and tracking the education department’s activities and deliverables and will interface with the Program Evaluation team to ensure agency meets overall education reporting requirements and procedures. This position will be integral in developing and implementing a plan to manage and grow Philadelphia Saves programs.
Qualifications:
• 1-2 years experience in community outreach, program management, education or related department.
• College degree, or equivalent work experience required
• Excellent writing and interpersonal skills, highly organized and detail-oriented.
• The ability to initiate, maintain and follow-through with relationships is key to this position.
• Knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications is essential.
• Previous experience with financial education program management, social marketing, public speaking and event planning is a plus.
• An energetic self-starter is preferred. Candidates who are well connected within the greater Philadelphia metropolitan area are strongly preferred.
• Volunteer management experience is a plus

Essential Functions:
Program Coordination
• Help to develop an overall strategic plan for Philadelphia Saves and FinanciallyHers to reach internal program goals within the key areas of program participation, volunteer recruitment and retention, advertising campaigns, and community partnerships
• Work with the Education Director to update or modify Philadelphia Saves materials
• Coordinate and manage all activities related to Philadelphia Saves Week
• Represent Philadelphia Saves at the National Savings Forum in Washington DC
• Coordinate marketing and manage some activities related to the FinanciallyHers program such as Financail Fitness Clubs and Quarterly Seminars.
Administration
• Assist Education Director in the assignment of workshops and manage the education and outreach calendar. Prepare weekly and quarterly reports for management team as requested.
• Work with educators and Program Evaluation team to ensure distribution and collection of client data. Support Program Evaluation team as requested with tracking and reporting of grant deliverables from education workshops
• Assist Education Director/Education Program Managers with event support including promotion, registration and site logistics.
• Assist Marketing Group with social media, media relations, collateral development and website content to promote various education programs. Manage education supplies and requests for education contractors.
• Maintain electronic data files for education programs and administrative information in organized fashion
Instruction
• Facilitate Motivational Wealth-Building Philadelphia Saves workshops for college age clients
• Prepare and conduct Philadelphia Saves presentations to funders, corporations, civic groups, and financial institutions when necessary
• Work with participating organizations to effectively train and promote programs to their constituents
Community and Volunteer Outreach
• Research, identify, and recruit new community partners and volunteers
• Join and participate in appropriate groups, committees, networking events to expand and build community network
• Recruit volunteers and education program interns as needed for other education programs.
Professional Skills
• Compose correspondence and presentations with proper spelling, grammar and articulation.
• Communicate accurately and clearly to internal employees and external partners
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance
• Work a flexible schedule and non-traditional working hours when required to meet business need
• Perform special projects and/or assignments as directed by the Education Programs Director or other members of the management team
Additional Responsibilities:
This individual will need to be able to facilitate the Philadelphia Saves workshop. The individual must be able to work a flexible schedule and travel throughout the Philadelphia metropolitan area. This position is ultimately responsible for program results, scheduling, tracking, and reporting. This position requires working with other CCCS departments, and must work well within a team setting.

Travel
Position is based in the Philadelphia Office. Travel within assigned territory by automobile and/or public transportation
