EDUCATING THE HEART: BEHAVIOR AND THE BRAIN CONFERENCE
Join PD Dimensions on Saturday, January 31st for the “Educating the Heart: Behavior and the Brain” conference focused on social emotional health in children.
ABOUT THE CONFERENCE
According to research, over 40% of kindergartners do not have the social and emotional skills needed to succeed in school. Research also states that teachers must use age appropriate sensory practices that are based on children’s brain development as opposed to the traditional approach. Additionally, these new practices limit negative and antisocial classroom behaviors like acting out, aggression and bullying.
At this year’s conference, early childhood and school age professionals will hear from regional experts to obtain a better practical understanding. In addition, attendees will walk away with strategies and tools that can be implemented immediately in their classrooms and take their first step to create a healthier social emotional classroom environment.
