EdTechTeam Pennsylvania Summit and Pre-summits
Temple University
March 1 & 2, 2014
We invite you to join us for the first annual EdTechTeam Pennsylvania Summit featuring Google for Education to be held at Temple University on March 1 & 2, 2014. This high intensity two day event focuses on deploying, integrating, and using Google Apps for Education and other Google Tools to promote student learning in K-12 and higher education. The program features Google Certified Teachers, Google Apps for Education Certified Trainers, practicing administrators, solution providers, Google engineers, and representatives from the Google education teams.
This particular summit also includes a special Culture and Cognition strand and a Breaking the Code pre-summit workshop to help teachers in urban classrooms ignite STEM interest in their students. The summit is a substantial opportunity for educators from high-poverty schools to receive world-class professional development. Participants learn new ways to ensure that all children have a fair, equal, and significant opportunity to obtain a high-quality education using the tools and resources freely available online. This summit has a special focus on closing the achievement gap between high- and low-performing children, especially the achievement gaps between minority and nonminority students, and between disadvantaged children and their more advantaged peers. These goals are in close alignment with the purpose of Google Apps for Education, and Google’s broader mission to organize the world’s information, and make it universally accessible and useful.
