Provident Bank Foundation invites applications from community-based organizations
The New Jersey-based Provident Bank Foundation aims to build strong and healthy communities where everyone can live a fulfilling and prosperous life.
The foundation invests in marginalized communities within Provident Bank’s branch network across parts of New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania by collaborating with nonprofit organizations that align with its values. Together with grantees, the bank aims to empower individuals on their paths to economic self-sufficiency by addressing the multifaceted issues that perpetuate the cycle of poverty.
Through its Empowerment Grant program, the bank provides two years of flexible funding support for programs, projects, or initiatives based within its geographic footprint and aligned with at least one of PBF’s newly revised funding priorities:
Education: Quality education and vocational training to build the skills needed to participate fully in the economy: specifically community colleges, vocational programs, and special education services (all ages).
Human Services: Social safety nets to support vulnerable populations in times of greatest need: specifically housing assistance, food security, healthcare access for un-/underinsured individuals, and youth mental health services.
Workforce Development: Career opportunities and skills development to support pathways to economic self-sufficiency: specifically job training, employment supports, and reentry programs.
Grants will be awarded in the range of $5,000 to $10,000 per year for two years for organizations with operating budgets between $50,000 and $1 million per year, and in the range of $10,000 to $25,000 per year for two years for organizations with operating budgets between $1 million and $15 million per year.
Grant applications will be accepted on a rolling basis through April 30, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. ET.
For complete program guidelines and application instructions, see the Provident Bank Foundation website.
Deadline: April 30, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. ET
