Child Trends launches early childhood research series
Child Trends has launched a new Early Childhood Highlights series on the latest early childhood research findings to help advocates inform state and federal policy discussions.
The first two briefs the group has published are Quality Rating and Improvement Systems for Early Care and Education and Early Head Start: Research Findings.
Future reports include State Approaches to School Readiness, a review of state early learning guidelines for children ages birth to five and current state school readiness assessment practices, and Early Childhood Indicators: Uses and Misuses, a quick guide for states on the appropriate and inappropriate ways to use indicators to guide policy planning and decisions related to early childhood initiatives.
