Constellation Invites Students to Apply for 2012 E2 Energy Grants Program
Deadline: October 1, 2012

Constellation energy company has announced the launch of its 2012 E2Energy to Educate Grants program, which provides funding for student projects designed to increase understanding of energy-related science and technology issues.

In 2011, the program awarded more than $500,000 nationwide. The student projects included hands-on wind turbine design, electric and solar vehicle competitions, battery design, energy storage, and many other topics.

Students in grades 6-12 can apply for program grants of up to $25,000; students in two- and four- year colleges can apply for up to $50,000.

To qualify for an E2 grant, a project must be located in an area where Constellation has a business interest, be team-oriented, and reach a minimum of one hundred students. Projects involving students in grades 6-12 must include a minimum of three partners, including at least one that is governed by a board of directors and is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization.
