Dynamic Duos mentoring program seeks mentors
Posted by on January 20, 2009
The Dynamic Duos mentoring program serves youth ages 10-18 years of age who are receiving child welfare services. The program is site based. All mentoring takes place at the mentoring center located at 1501 North Broad Street in Philadelphia. Mentors are asked to give a one year commitment to the program in which they will meet with their mentee on either a Wednesday or Thursdays from 5:30-7:30pm (dinner is served) during the 1st and 3rd weeks of every month. University students who are interested, but do not live in the Philadelphia area year round, will still be accepted into the program. The mentoring relationship will focus heavily on social skills and character development. Mentors will attend a training prior to the beginning of the relationship. The training will focus on developing a mentoring relationship and will provide mentors with the information and skills necessary to embark a relationship with their mentee.
