Dumping: Vacant Lot Transformation Opportunity (Revive and Thrive) – Aug 25
Posted by Circular Philadelphia on August 5, 2025
People dump everything, everywhere. Let’s show that even a modest, low cost lot transformation prevents dumping!
The purpose of the project is to recognize good ideas in the community that also serve to end dumping. The project provides support for projects initiated by neighborhood residents that result in positive change and community connections. By activating a lot, the projects create spaces and actions for neighbors to meet each other and make good things happen for the neighborhood.
- Through pre and post litter index, we will demonstrate the efficacy of activating lots to prevent dumping by reinforcing the success of local use.
- Let’s keep it simple and inexpensive.
- This should be a project that can happen in a short turn around in 2-3 months once lot permission is obtained, and we have a design direction.
