PRO-ACT announces domestic violence workshop
PRO-ACT and the city’s Office of Addiction Services have announced a new Domestic Violence Workshop at the Philadelphia Recovery Community Center, 1701 W. Lehigh Ave., Unit 6 in Philadelphia.
Presented by facilitators from Women Against Abuse, the eight-session program will address a variety of topics, including the origins, dynamics and complexity of relationship violence and the link between substance abuse and domestic violence. Participants will learn about warning signs of an unhealthy relationship and planning for safety in a dangerous relationship, as well as resources for victims and those close to them.
