Dollar General Afterschool Literacy Award

The Afterschool Alliance and the Dollar General Literacy Foundation are seeking nominations for afterschool programs that have excelled in providing literacy support to middle school students to win the first ever Dollar General Afterschool Literacy Award worth up to $10,000. Strong literacy skills can lead to success in school and career, as well as positively impact one’s overall wellbeing. Afterschool programs with demonstrated success improving the literacy skills – including reading, writing and comprehension – of middle school program participants are eligible.
