Discussion of Child Nutrition Act Reauthorization

US official in city to discuss child nutrition bill
The Drexel University School of Public Health will sponsor a talk by Kevin Concannon, the US Dept. of Agriculture’s Under Secretary for Food, Nutrition, and Consumer Services, on the public health implications of the Child Nutrition Act Reauthorization, as well as what Philadelphia can do right away to implement the new law.
Dr. Mariana Chilton, an associate professor at Drexel and expert in child hunger and nutrition, will moderate a panel discussion with local experts and a Q & A session with Mr. Concannon after the presentation. The session will be followed by a reception.
The event will be held on Tuesday, January 18th in the Mitchell Auditorium in the Bossone Research Enterprise Center (Market Street between 31st and 32nd Streets) at 1pm.
