Job Description

Pendle Hill, a Quaker center for study and contemplation, is seeking an energetic, organized and goal-oriented individual experienced in Quaker values and traditions to provide leadership for two summer programs: the Young Adult Leadership Development Program for young people aged 18-24, and the Youth Camp Program for youth aged 15-18. This individual will also have major responsibilities in recruiting students for the full year Residential Program as well as the youth programs.

? The Young Adult Leadership Development Program brings together twelve qualified young adults from all over the world and various faith traditions for a seven-week exploration of service and spirituality from a Quaker perspective. The program includes service work at local agencies, community life and work at Pendle Hill, workcamps, field trips, discussions and workshops on: leadership skills, spiritual development, service, community living, and social justice topics.
? The week-long Youth Camp includes a service projects in Philadelphia, worship and work at Pendle Hill, group discussions/workshops, field trips, and profoundly fun interaction with high school youth from around the country.

This position runs year-round and involves hiring and supervising a Coordinator for Summer Youth Programs who will join the staff in April or May until mid-August. The Director of Young Adult & Youth Programs/Recruitment works under the supervision of the Dean.

Compensation: Pendle Hill will provide room, board, and salary
