JOB DESCRIPTION:
Develop and manage comprehensive youth development programs for middle and high school youth. Responsible for coordinating the development and implementation of daytime, afterschool, weekend and summer youth programs that integrate academics, 21st century skills, and civic action. Oversees 5 programs: Leadership, Talent Search, 21st Century, Parenting, Training Institute.
Flexible schedule. Frequent extended hours, weekend, and travel may be required by business responsibilities, meetings, or by request of superiors.
QUALIFICATIONS:
•Bachelors degree (Masters preferred) in Education, Psychology, Social Work, or Counseling.
•Relationship management skills and experience in fostering a team approach to youth development and creating collaboration among partner organizations in youth development.
•At least three years experience in an administrative or managerial capacity in an organization that provides direct services to youth.
•Experience and competencies in working in a multiracial, multicultural, and bilingual environment.
•Experience and/or understanding of the development of educational programs in nonprofit or K-12 settings.
•Experience with and/or understanding of the application of information technology to educational programs for youth in nonprofit or K-12 settings.
