DIRECTOR OF THE ANNUAL FUND
Cheyney University of Pennsylvania seeks applicants for the position of Director of the Annual Fund.
The primary responsibilities of the director include, but are not limited to, planning, coordinating and implementing a comprehensive annual giving program. The campaign must include direct mail, phonathon, parent campaign, senior class gift campaign, and faculty and staff solicitations. Additional responsibilities include gathering, recording and analyzing information on current and future donor prospects and developing in-depth profiles, lists of potential prospects, and determining the financial ability for potential donors. The successful candidate will be expected to work closely with all members of the advancement team in support of meeting fund raising goals. In addition, financial information and trends must be continuously upgraded and reports generated to support the university fundraising goals.
The ideal candidate possesses a bachelor?s degree and five years of direct experience in the management of an annual fund campaign, in prospect research and the ability to document previous success. Extensive knowledge of fund raising strategies, current trends in philanthropy, relational databases and superior technology skills are essential. Strong communication skills (both written and oral) are required.
