Director of Systems, Process & Data
United Way of Greater Philadelphia & Southern New Jersey
The Director of Systems, Process & Data is responsible for the day-to-day management of departmental service delivery systems and processes to ensure organizational goals are met and departmental data is managed effectively. This position works inter and intra-departmentally to align Impact department processes and systems.

Systems & Process Management
• Develops and directs all required processes to support the work of the Impact Department.
• Leads the CI Operations team to support department objectives through the creation of processes, procedures and policies that facilitate the work of the department.
• Works collaboratively with the Finance, Resource Development, Communications and IT Departments to plan, direct and continuously improve cross-functional processes that support efficient grant-making. Ensures that these processes meet customer needs, align with Impact department objectives and support organizational efficiency goals.
• Develops, executes and monitors processes by which grant-making information is prepared in Impact Department and delivered to the Impact, Finance, RD and Communications Departments with particular focus on programmatic budgeting and grantee results reporting.
• Provides Impact Department spending information to and reconciles financial data with Finance and RD as needed, particularly in support of annual Resource Table development.
• Works collaboratively to establish effective cross-functional practices regarding invoicing and budgeting.
• Works with the IT and Processing Departments to design/improve and manage the use of electronic grant-making tools.
• Leads the Impact Department’s data management function, ensuring data integrity and accessibility, as well as the ability to leverage data in support of departmental and organizational goals.
• Manages the production of routine Impact Department results and financial reports. Ensures that these reports support business decisions and are produced with accuracy and timeliness.
• Provides ad hoc reports for strategic data analysis and specific project support as required.
• Plans and directs the department’s data management processes in collaboration with the organization’s data resources and established data management policies/standards.
• Develops metrics and reports to track Impact Department activities and special projects. Manages the tracking processes and report production to support department priorities and drive accountability.
• Leads the development of departmental training plans and skill development around systems and processes that support the work of the Department (e.g. grant-making, data management, etc.).
• Documents all processes and procedures for reference and training(s). Communicate processes and procedures effectively, in both written and oral form.
