Role and Responsibilities:
The Director will be responsible for successfully managing the large-scale residential multi-family rental housing and commercial real estate ventures. Primary responsibilities include direct supervision of the Residential & Commercial Project Manager and the Project Expediter as well as daily management of specific projects from site identification through acquisition, design development, financing, construction completion, commissioning, close-out and warranty.
1.)Participate as an integral part of Project H.O.M.E.’s Senior Management Team by providing leadership and innovation in support of the organization’s operations, mission, goals, and future growth. Responsibilities include but are not limited to active participation on Strategic Planning and Senior Management teams.
2.)Supervise the Residential/Commercial Project Manager and the Project Expediter to ensure that all projects are completed on time and within approved budgets.
3.)Manage specific project schedules and budgets.
4.)Manage operating and capital budgets for the Real Estate Development Department to ensure that programs operate within established budgets or proper authorization is secured for spending variances.
5.)Work in conjunction with state/local representatives and agencies to identify new opportunities for financing projects.
6.)Promote the professional development and growth of staff.
7.) Foster inter-departmental collaborations with Property and Asset Management, Support Services and Fundraising.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
·B.A. or B.S. degree in the related field
·Master’s degree preferred
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
1.)Minimum of ten (10) years of experience developing larger-scale affordable housing (50+ units) and commercial real estate, experience with some retail development is preferred.
2.)Minimum of five (5) years supervising a team of developers
3.)Experience in all aspects of real estate development including stakeholder coordination, site acquisition, pre-development, financing (LIHTC, NMTC, etc.) and construction administration.
4.)Experience in the application of local, state, and federal legislation and regulations as they pertain to real estate development activities.
5.)Experience developing and managing construction budgets.
6.) Comprehensive and detailed knowledge of the affordable housing industry; must be highly organized; must be able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a demanding and time sensitive environment; must have excellent writing skills, must be able to communicate and work collaboratively and efficiently with design and construction professionals, public agencies, Project H.O.M.E. residents and staff.
Required Computer Skills: Microsoft Office Suite, Intermediate or Advanced Excel,
Preferred Computer Skills:Intermediate Project.
