Easter Seals of Southeastern Pennsylvania presents an exciting opportunity for seasoned educators and administrators ready to move into a senior management role in their careers. We are seeking a Director of Programs to oversee and bring leadership to the development, implementation, operation and administration of all programs and services of the agency.

Accountable to the Executive Director/CEO, the Director of Programs provides direct supervision to the four division directors in our multi-county region in Southeastern Pennsylvania, and in addition supervises the Director of Assistive Technology, Director of Behavioral Services, our Music Therapist(s) and Speech Therapy Consultant.

The ideal candidate will draw from an extensive background in progressively responsible management positions in areas of responsibility for this position, which could include early intervention, charter schools, approved private school, extended school year services, outpatient therapy and independent evaluation services.

We’re looking to the Director of Programs to infuse energy and bring leadership and fresh eyes to promoting the agency’s growth & expansion efforts during an exciting time for Easter Seals as we are in the process of a national rebranding effort.

The Director is charged with implementing and directing all program services on behalf of Easter Seals in a manner which regularly strives for quality improvement and generates income from services in line with budgetary goals. Other responsibilities include working in conjunction with the Director of Development in development of governmental and/or private grants that will generate income in support of our programs and services and maintaining and compiling statistical records of clients served and basic demographic information. The Director will provide professional support to the Credentialing Specialist with respect to the requirements for new hires, credentialing paths and team member continued employment. The Director will also give leadership to staff in-service training in conjunction with the Director of Human Resources as it relates to overall staff development and their ability to provide the highest quality of services.

The demonstrated ability to work well with others is critical to success in this role as the Director will cultivate and develop relationships with other employees and management staff, service providers, funders/governmental agencies and provider associations.

If this opportunity has piqued your interest we would love to hear from you. Qualified candidates must possess a Master’s degree in Special Education, Pennsylvania Teacher’s Certification as well as a Pennsylvania Supervisor Certificate (Special Education) or eligibility to obtain one.

Eligible candidates will also present with ten years of progressively increasing experience in special education, rehabilitation or a related field and five years of staff supervisory experience including those in management roles. This position requires the ability to travel throughout the territory served by the agency and on occasion travel “out of town”, including overnight trips, the ability to research and collect information for program-related grant opportunities and a comfort level with the responsibility to keep large amounts of information for multiple simultaneous projects in an organized and accurate manner.
