Position: Director of Policy, Planning and Public Engagement
Grade: E6
Salary Range: Commensurate with experience
Department: Community Impact
Reports to: Vice President, Community Impact

Position Summary: This position will be responsible for the volunteers and staff that produce and refine the community impact plan, and will use the plan as a platform for developing overall community outcomes or impact measures of success for the organization and identify the process for collecting the information.

Job Responsibilities:
Direct the business unit and supervise and develop the staff in the following activities:
? Convening stakeholders to review, refine and update the community impact plan to reflect trends, critical issues and gaps in service delivery in the three areas of need, including funding objectives, capacity building and public engagement strategies.
? Establishing and tracking measures of success for the plan or community outcomes supported by program outcomes collected through network relations.
? Development of a work plan identifying goals for the organization?s work in public engagement; volunteer mobilization, advocacy and public policy, including implementation steps and other activities.
? Oversee the information and referral operation with particular attention to data maintenance and analysis.

Responsible for the recruitment, staffing, training and development of subordinate employees who carry out functions within the business unit in support of the community impact plan.

Staff the Plan Development Sub-committee of the Community Impact Committee and ensure the development and effective management of an adequate and diverse pool of effective volunteers to satisfy the goals of the sub-committee.

Convene volunteer, corporate, public and non-profit leaders as appropriate to secure input and as necessary, appropriate partnerships for public policy and engagement of work of UWSEPA.

Desired Qualifications and Experience Required:
? Bachelor Degree, advanced degree preferred.
? 10 years of demonstrated high level work in public policy and service delivery in areas of relevance to UWSEPA?s community impact plan.
? Management of diverse staff and volunteers through complex tasks and demonstrated leadership.
? Use of technology to track and support information.
? Excellent written and verbal skills, good presentation skills and excellent organization skills.
