Director of Member Engagement (Remote), Campus Compact
Posted by Campus Compact on October 31, 2023
Campus Compact is a national coalition of colleges and universities committed to the public purposes of higher education. As the only national higher education association dedicated solely to higher education civic and community engagement, Campus Compact enables higher education institutions to develop students’ citizenship skills and forge effective community partnerships. Our resources support senior administrators, faculty, staff, and students as they pursue community-based teaching, scholarship, and action in the service of positive change.
We are seeking a motivated and personable professional to join our team as the Director of Member Engagement. This person will oversee the day-to-day operations of the membership team, including recruitment, renewal, member engagement, and overseeing the membership database. The Director of Member Engagement is the primary point of contact for Campus Compact members seeking information about programs, resources, connection to our network, and more. Reporting to the Senior Director of Member and Student Engagement, the Director serves on the Compact leadership team.
Summary of what you’ll do:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for our members; respond to member questions and provide them with connections to valuable resources, programs, and events
- Build and expand on systems that engage individuals at member campuses in leadership and volunteer opportunities with the Compact (as reviewers, advisory group members, trainers, etc.) and monitor volunteer engagement and recognition
- Co-create and manage systems to facilitate significant and regular touchpoints with members
- Develop and manage member campus recruitment, onboarding, and retention
- Provide general oversight of the membership database; measure growth in target areas, identify retention patterns, and connect data to key program and communications areas
- Train fellow Compact staff on member recruitment, retention, and engagement so that all staff feel empowered to support Compact members
- Work collaboratively with Compact program staff to expand and deepen offerings that matter to members
- Supervise the Member Engagement Coordinator and any related staff
