Green Woods Charter School (GWCS) provides children in grades K through 8 with the opportunity to be active, knowledgeable, and conscientious young investigators by fostering a keen understanding of the interrelatedness and interdependence of our local and global existence; creating active young stewards of the natural world. GWCS serves children primarily in the Roxborough catchment area of Philadelphia.
Position Summary:
The Director of Instructional Technology is responsible for developing and leading an innovative program of instructional technology that enriches and supports student learning. The Director will organize and oversee the integration of technology into the classroom, as well as oversee and coordinate the development of the instructional technology curriculum and select technology-oriented learning tools for classrooms in partnership with the CEO/Principal and Assistant Principals. The Director will also assist in the development of online publications or programs, will coordinate and provide professional development to teachers, staff and administrators, as needed, in classroom technology and instructional technology best practices. He/She will have a passion for courageous and intentional thinking and planning, an understanding of the needs and benefits of innovation, and a commitment to lifelong learning. The ideal candidate is a highly-effective, organized, flexible leader, and digital innovator. This individual brings experience and expertise in digital curriculum design, technology integration, change management, executive-level strategic planning. The Director of Instructional Technology works collaboratively with other leaders, as well as the instructional staff, to ensure high instructional standards. The Director of Instructional Technology reports to the CEO/Principal.
