Job description
Corporate & Foundation Relations
- Manage all institutional funding relationships, including tracking of all activities via development database, and active stewardship of existing relationships.
- Manage institutional fundraising operations including maintaining existing corporate and foundation relationships, overseeing all grant-writing and reporting to corporations & foundations.
- Write grant reports and proposals, as needed.
- Manage & support Development Officer in reaching institutional goals.
- Identify, research and investigate new opportunities for corporate & foundation partnerships.
- Liaison with Accounting Department on institutional funding budget restrictions, financial reporting, contract compliance and tax credit issues.
- Conduct tours/site visits and coordinate other small events on behalf of Project H.O.M.E. that cultivate new, and deepen existing, relationships with corporate, foundation and government partners.
- Research and develop a government grants plan, including possible development of advisory committee and a strategy focused on identifying new public funding sources, potential government partnerships, tax credit opportunities.
Financial
- Assist Vice President of Development & Public Relations with budgeting/forecasting corporation, foundation and government revenue for the organization on an annual basis; contribute to quarterly revenue reports to the Finance Committee as well as to institutional strategic plan outcomes monitoring.
- Work with VP to coordinate all major capital campaigns under the leadership of the Executive Director and Board of Trustees.
- Serve as Development Department liaison to project development teams and Housing and Community Development staff for capital projects.
- Administrative (last two responsibilities would come online FYE 2012)
- Participate in Project H.O.M.E.’s Senior Management Team meetings; provide leadership and innovation in support of the organization’s operations, mission, goals, and future growth.
- Actively participate in new Strategic Plan process; work with VP of DPR to ensure department goal consistency with long term strategic goals.
- Related to new Strategic Plan and to improve development (and other department) staff ability to meet increasingly stringent reporting requirements for donors, research best practices related to program evaluation/monitoring specific to various programs/services; populations served; and public agency/contract requirements.
- Recruit participants and lead inter-departmental team (s) to begin process of developing plan to create consistent & integrated outcomes data collection and reporting across the organization.
