Position Overview
Family Planning Council, a large, well-regarded not-for-profit human services agency in downtown Philadelphia, is seeking an experienced Director for its Information Services department. The Director is responsible for leading, planning and managing all aspects of the technology department (Billing, Data Management and Network Operations). The ideal candidate will have demonstrated project and staff management experience, in depth knowledge of third party billing, data gathering and reporting, and strong communications skills. Primary Responsibilities will include:
* Day to day management of department staff and resources
* Serve as liaison between staff, management, and other third parties
* Developing and implementing project plans
* Assure the implementation of best practices for both service and infrastructure
* Maintain relationships with third parties regarding data and billing requirements
* Providing training and technical assistance for system users and other customers
* Development and management of related budgets
Requirements
* Bachelors degree, preferably in a related field (Masters degree a plus)
* 7-10 years experience managing and/or directing technological operations
* 3-5 years experience in supervising staff and departmental management
* Demonstrated effectiveness in strategic planning
* Exceptional leadership and people management/development skills
* Proven implementation skills; well-rounded in IS disciplines, packaged and proprietary technologies, and project management
* Experience in a not for profit and/or health care setting (desired but not required)
